J.K. paintings is run by the mother/daughter duo of the century: Jenni and Karin Hoyt!
We are art enthusiasts who love sharing the joy in creating and the fun of art! Jenni is an elementary and middle school art teacher with a BA in art education, and she absolutely loves what she does. Her senior daughter Karin is also looking to pursue art and is exploring the field through commission and mural work. Together, they make a fun, experienced, and talented team that truly enjoys everything about creating, and can’t wait to be a part of your own artistic ideas!

Murals
A perfect way to add some color to your life, from your business to your home office!
All our murals are original designs, creating a custom feel to fit your home or business. Our projects range from intricate details in nurseries to giant, 30 foot wall spaces, but we are excited to work as large or as small as you’d like!

An exciting way to make your next birthday or block party unforgettable!
Our face painting rate is $40 hourly for each painter, and $80 for the both of us. We can typically fit in 20 kids within the hour, and have great experience with parties and younger children. We are very flexible with timing and venues as well. We look forward to painting your next party!

Commissions
From oil paints to ink, we can create a unique piece of art just for you. Together, we have combined skills in painting, drawing, digital design, and illustration. We would love to help you with your next family portrait, personal gift, or logo!
Our commissions can range anywhere from $200 to $1000 depending on the project, so get in touch for a free consult and planning meeting to discuss your next great idea.

Jenni and Karin
Jenni has been painting murals and commissions for decades. Starting in high school, her friends + family business expanded across her hometown of Tacoma, WA, into her art classes in Albuquerque, NM and Boulder, CO, and finally into the schools of the Twin Cities. She brought the fun and joy of creating with her, incorporating her student’s designs and ideas into collaborative pieces that involved her whole community, no matter where she was.

Locations
We primarily work in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. We’re based in Roseville, but are happy to travel to wherever you are!
Karin is an undergraduate pursuing her passion for art at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She hopes to combine her love for teaching and childcare with her creativity to work in art therapy. But before then, she hopes to travel, adventure, somehow magically become a red bull athlete, and keep painting along the way!
